We are looking for: IT System Administrator
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Plan and lead corporate IT projects such as office buildouts, system migrations, and the corporate HQ setup from scoping through completion, including defining timelines, milestones, and success criteria.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Facilities, and other stakeholders to align IT project delivery with site and business priorities.
- Exercise independent judgment in evaluating technical approaches and tradeoffs, escalating only significant deviations in scope, budget, or risk.
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Own relationships with IT vendors and contractors, including scoping work, reviewing deliverables and invoices, and holding vendors accountable to timeline and quality expectations.
- Evaluate and recommend vendors, equipment, and technical solutions within budget and policy guidelines.
IT Infrastructure & Systems Administration
- Own corporate server, office network, and endpoint administration across all three buildings, including configuration standards and lifecycle planning, aligned to Eagle's global M365, Intune, and network standards.
- Administer core infrastructure including servers, network devices, and business applications, applying independent judgment to prioritize and resolve complex issues.
- Monitor network and system performance and security, and lead remediation of complex or recurring issues rather than routine troubleshooting alone.
Site Support Oversight
- Serve as the first point of contact and resolution for hardware, software, and network issues across all three buildings, including hands-on work such as equipment builds, deployment, and installation, escalating production-floor issues to the Sr. Manufacturing System Engineer.
- Own new-hire readiness end to end, including account provisioning and equipment deployment, using Eagle's Intune and M365 playbooks.
Standards, Policy & Documentation
- Develop and maintain IT procedures, configuration standards, and documentation frameworks for the site, ensuring consistency and audit-readiness in Confluence.
- Establish and maintain IT asset management practices, including inventories, license compliance, and equipment lifecycle records.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience independently planning and leading IT projects, including scoping, vendor coordination, and delivery against timelines.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows server and client administration, networking (VLANs, switching, firewalls, Wi-Fi), and Microsoft 365 / Intune administration.
- Proven ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions on technical approach, vendor selection, and prioritization with minimal oversight.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document decisions, standards, and project status clearly for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to perform physical work as needed, including lifting equipment, running cable, and working in an active construction and factory environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) a plus.
- Experience supporting IT in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
- CompTIA, Microsoft, or networking certifications.
- Experience mentoring or providing technical direction to junior IT staff.
Work Environment & Location
- This position is based on-site in Solon, Ohio.
- On-site presence is required to support all three Ohio buildings, including the production facility, the CO-AX production facility, and Cleveland HQ.
- Work involves an active construction and factory environment, including occasional physical tasks such as lifting equipment and running cable.
- This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and is expected to manage competing priorities and projects with minimal day-to-day direction.
