Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join the Special Networks and LI Engineering team. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable network infrastructures, with a strong focus on IP networking, virtualization, and automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and maintain IP-based network solutions across enterprise and specialized environments

Implement and manage secure network architectures, including Cisco-based security frameworks

Work on virtualized and cloud environments (OpenStack, VMware, OpenShift)

Automate network provisioning and configuration using tools such as Ansible and Puppet

Support Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) deployments and operations

Develop and maintain scripts and automation workflows for network optimization

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and compliant network solutions

Support specialized network requirements including satellite and secure communications environments

Required Skills & Experience:

Advanced expertise in IP Networking and Network Engineering concepts

Strong experience with:

OpenStack, OpenShift, VMware

Cisco Network Security

Automation tools: Ansible, Puppet

Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI)

Knowledge of network security and secure architecture design

Experience with coding/scripting (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation

Additional Skills (Preferred):

Exposure to satellite networks or specialized communication systems

Experience in security-focused or regulated environments

Strong troubleshooting and system integration skills

Must be an Australian Citizen
