Video Surveillance and Fiber Technician

Texas GovLink, Inc. is an Austin-based firm which has been a leading provider of technical and business professionals to clients in Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced Video Surveillance and Fiber Technician to be a key resource on a technical services team.

Work Location:

Position is based in San Antonio and may be filled as remote or hybrid. In-person meetings in Huntsville, TX and other locations across the state as needed.

Responsibilities

Knowledge of installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of video surveillance systems. Performs complex network work. Works under general supervision with moderate latitude. Proficient in cable installation, conduit bending and installation. Must be able to understand fiber optic networking and fiber optic components.

This role requires travel as-needed and advanced notice will be provided.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

4 years of:

• Telecommunication experience
• Knowledge of data/voice termination of 568B and have own telecommunications termination/testing tools

Preferred:

4 years of:

• Telecommunications data and voice to include fiber optics
