Position Summary

In this role, you will work on-site approximately 60% of the time and remotely roughly 40% of the time. This is a full-time position requiring approximately 40 hours per week, with additional hours occasionally required depending on project needs. Office support hours are 8AM to 6PM EST.

The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for the design, deployment, standardization, and optimization of client network environments. This role serves as a senior technical escalation point, mentors team members, and ensures all network projects meet company and industry standards.

Qualifications And Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering or related senior technical roles
• Design and deployment of LAN, WLAN, and WAN environments
• Strong TCP/IP knowledge including DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPNs, routing, and switching
• Experience with firewalls, network security concepts, and VPN technologies
• Experience with Cisco Meraki full stack - Firewalls, Switches, and APs
• Vendor specific L2/L3 switch experience:
• Cisco Catalyst
• Brocade/Ruckus
• Avaya/Extreme
• Vendor specific firewall experience:
• Palo Alto
• Fortinet
• Watchguard
• Ability to identify and solve complex network issues in unfamiliar environments remotely
• Ability to serve as a network escalation resource for the support team
• Experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers
• Ability to identify opportunities for automation and scripting
• Strong documentation discipline including network diagrams and standards
• Presales experience including network design input and quote assistance
• Experience with ticketing systems including accurate time and work documentation
• Ability to maintain a 75% billable utilization target
• Strong client communication and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments
• Experience with Managed Services a plus

Certifications Desired

• CCNA / CCNP
• Network+ / Security+

Typical Physical Demands

• Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, occasionally stooping, crawling, and reaching
• May be required to lift up to 60 pounds
• Requires normal range of vision and hearing
