Who We Are Looking For
BeyondReach, a CCR company, provides connectivity solutions and infrastructure to any location, no matter how remote or complex, specializing in the hard-to-reach locations.
Our ideal candidate thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and takes pride in getting the details right the first time. This role requires a detail-oriented, dependable Project Technician who can confidently prepare and pre-configure radio and CPE hardware before it reaches a site, support circuit turn-up on install day, and keep project records accurate as work is completed.
The Project Technician is expected to work closely with the Project Coordinator, Engineers, RF Engineering, and the NOC, escalating only genuine anomalies rather than routine steps, to ensure every site is staged, tested, documented, and turned up right.
What You’ll Accomplish And Experience
Radio & CPE Provisioning (Pre-Stage)
- Stage and pre-configure Ubiquiti and Siklu radios for implementations.
- Assemble and test 5G indoor/outdoor setups at the warehouse.
- Label, inventory, and kit hardware for each site (radios, POE, cabling, mounts).
- Document IP assignments and management addressing per the provisioning sheet.
- Assemble link pairs for staging at HQ for larger projects.
- Own the turn-up day checklist independently.
- Run and capture standard acceptance tests (speeds, pings, LAN IP routing, etc.) and document results.
- Confirm demarc and review the install via photos while techs are still on site.
- Capture all day-of install results and deliver them to the Project Coordinator/Engineer for review.
- Escalate to RF Engineering only on genuine anomalies (alignment, signal level, path issues) and not routine steps.
- Consistently update Sitetracker task/milestone status at turn-up so records reflect reality.
- Attach test results, configs, and as-built notes to the project record.
- Maintain the provisioning/turn-up templates and a simple runbook as procedures firm up.
- Perform first-look triage on alerts, basic reachability checks, and radio reboots under NOC direction.
- Confirm/clear false alarms before they escalate to engineering.
- Working knowledge of Ubiquiti and Siklu radio platforms, including staging and configuration.
- Familiarity with 5G indoor/outdoor CPE hardware and PoE-powered equipment.
- Understanding of IP addressing and management networks well enough to assign and document per provisioning sheet.
- Ability to run and interpret standard acceptance tests (speed tests, ping/latency, LAN IP routing).
- Comfortable with basic RF concepts (alignment, signal level, path/line-of-sight) well enough to recognize a genuine anomaly.
- Experience with Sitetracker or similar project/task-tracking systems, or ability to learn quickly.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Comfortable with hand tools, cabling, and mounting hardware for kitting and warehouse assembly.
- Ability to coordinate with field techs, vendors, and RF Engineering to complete installations.
- Pursue Human Excellence
- Partner to Win
- Create Value, Own the Outcome
- Lead with Curiosity and Courage
