Data Center/Network Operations Technician – Key Responsibilities

• Install, rack, configure, and deploy server, storage, and networking hardware in data center environments, ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards.
• Perform structured cable management, including installation, labeling, reseating, testing, and replacement of power, network, fiber optic, and copper cabling to maintain optimal connectivity and organization.
• Execute server tray swaps, component replacements, and other hardware maintenance activities by following established operational procedures and change management processes.
• Respond promptly to hardware incidents, service requests, and operational alerts, performing onsite troubleshooting and root cause identification while consistently meeting defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, hardware lifecycle events, asset inventory, and configuration changes using ticketing and asset management systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support hardware deployments, infrastructure upgrades, decommissions, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Perform routine health checks and inspections to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of data center infrastructure.
• Adhere to data center security, safety, and compliance policies while following standard operating procedures and best practices.
• Support inventory management by tracking hardware assets, spare parts, and equipment movements to ensure accurate records and operational readiness.
• Participate in on-call rotations or scheduled maintenance windows as required to support business-critical infrastructure.
