Network Security Engineer

Job Summary

Join our global infrastructure team as a Senior Cyber Security Engineer specializing in Firewall and Load Balancer technologies. In this role, you will own the health, scalability, and security of our enterprise network infrastructure. You will split your impact between critical Business-As-Usual (BAU) 24x7 operations and high-value strategic engineering projects. Your core mission is to protect enterprise assets, optimize network traffic, and maintain zero-downtime security operations.

Core Responsibilities

Network Security & Firewall Administration

• Policy Management: Design, implement, and audit complex access control lists (ACLs) and security policies across hybrid environments.
• Primary Infrastructure: Lead the administration, upgrading, and patching of Check Point Firewall clusters and Cisco Security ecosystems.
• Identity & Access: Manage and optimize network access control (NAC) policies utilizing Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
• Secure Connectivity: Architect, deploy, and troubleshoot enterprise-grade Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPN solutions.

Traffic Management & Load Balancing

• Application Delivery: Configure, monitor, and optimize Citrix ADC (NetScaler) load balancers to ensure high availability.
• Traffic Optimization: Manage persistence profiles, SSL offloading, content switching, and global server load balancing (GSLB).

Operations, Compliance & Engineering

• Incident Response: Drive Layer 3 through Layer 7 troubleshooting to resolve complex network disruptions in a high-pressure 24x7 environment.
• Change Governance: Author and execute low-risk and high-risk network changes following strict ITIL frameworks.
• Security Compliance: Conduct regular firewall hygiene audits, remove redundant rules, and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Global Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional global infrastructure, cloud, and security operation center (SOC) teams.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

Required Experience

• Industry Tenure: 6 to 10+ years of dedicated experience in Network Security and Infrastructure Administration.
• Check Point Expertise: Minimum 5 years of engineering experience with Check Point Firewalls (Gaia OS, Provider-1/MDM).
• Cisco Security Expertise: Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Cisco ASA/Firepower and Cisco ISE.
• Load Balancing: At least 2 years of operational familiarity with Citrix ADC / NetScaler.
• Operational Frameworks: Deep understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, and Problem Management).

Preferred Certifications (A Plus)

• Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE) or Master (CCSM)
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security
• Citrix Certified Associate or Professional - Networking (CCA-N / CCP-N)
