Technical Consulting Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role Summary

The Consulting Engineer is responsible for driving customer value and long-term success by bridging the gap between complex technical execution and business outcomes. This role focuses on ensuring optimal solution performance, fostering adoption, and creating the intellectual capital necessary to scale delivery efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

• Lifecycle Engagement: Driving customer outcomes and renewals through proactive collaboration across internal functions (Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, and Support).
• Technical Lifecycle Execution: Managing the end-to-end technical journey—from design and deployment to migration and troubleshooting—of Cisco solutions.
• Strategic Enablement: Translating business needs into technical solutions while maintaining deep expertise in vertical markets and the broader vendor/competitor landscape.
• Innovation & Scaling: Developing digital intellectual capital and leveraging AI/automation to improve delivery methodologies and personal productivity.

Main Tasks

Customer & Technical Delivery

• Solution Management: Design, deploy, optimize, and troubleshoot Cisco and third-party technologies.
• Proactive Resolution: Act as the primary technical point of contact for problem resolution and performance optimization.
• Documentation: Create high-quality, customer-facing technical documentation that adheres to CX standards.
• Adoption Support: Deliver technical guidance and content that empowers customers toward self-sufficiency and sustained solution usage.

Strategic & Operational Excellence

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Customer Success teams to ensure a unified experience and measurable impact.
• Market Insight: Maintain knowledge of relevant competitor products to ensure seamless interoperability within the customer environment.
• Intellectual Capital: Contribute to the creation of reusable assets, such as automation scripts and delivery templates, to standardize and improve internal processes.
• AI Integration: Utilize AI and automation tools to enhance delivery speed, innovation, and focus on high-impact customer activities.
