Network Automation Engineer (Enterprise)

Location: Budapest onsite 3 days, 2 days remote
Duration: 12 months initially, view to extend
Role: Network Automation Engineer
As part of the Network Engineering team you will be responsible for:
- Design, develop and maintain network automation solutions, configuration templates and operational workflows to improve consistency, scalability and resiliency
- Evaluating client requirements and find suitable solution with the primary focus on Campus/Branch wired and wireless network
- Collaborate with other technology and infrastructure teams to deliver the solution
- Facilitate the development of high level design patterns, standards, configuration templates
- Develop the execution and test plans for network changes

Essential technical skills:
- 5-7 years work experience in system integrator or enterprise field
- Strong Python programming and scripting skills
- Hands-on experience with network automation platforms such as Ansible and/or Cisco NSO
- Experience with API-based network automation and programmability (REST APIs, NETCONF, YANG)
- Experience with Git-based development workflows and source control
- Solid routing and switching knowledge, specifically: OSPF, BGP, MPLS, RSTP, EtherChannel
- Working experience with Catalyst product line (preferably Catalyst 9000)
- Good understanding of network security techniques such as IPSEC, MACSec, MAB/802.1x
- Good understanding of Wireless (preferably Cisco)
- Conceptual knowledge of QoS
Desired technical skills:
- Work experience with overlay based solution (SDWAN, SD Access, ACI, EVPN-VXLAN)
- Work experience with IOT networks
- Knowledge of endpoint profiling (ISE, Armis, Forescout etc.)
- Work experience with Catalyst Center (formerly DNA Center)
- Experience with Terraform, Netconf
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated infrastructure deployment
- Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Network-as-Code principles
- Experience with Ekahau
