About This Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Network Engineering professional to lead the architecture, blueprinting, and high-level design of IP LAN and security capabilities across Vodafone’s European operations. This role focuses on ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable network solutions across data centre, service LAN, and office IT environments, while driving harmonisation, standardisation, and innovation across markets.
What You’ll Do
- Design and optimise network architectures through high-level and low-level design (HLD/LLD)
- Deliver robust, secure, and scalable LAN and data centre network solutions across multiple regions
- Ensure network performance aligns with service and application requirements, including capacity and utilisation
- Standardise and harmonise network environments, services, and security frameworks across local markets
- Lead proof of concept (POC) validations and support implementation quality assurance processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated, end-to-end network solutions
- Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and cost optimisation within network infrastructure
- Support testing, auditing, and acceptance of deployed solutions, including defining test strategies and documentation
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and partners, ensuring delivery excellence
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and capability development within network engineering teams
- Experienced in designing and managing large-scale, heterogeneous IT and network infrastructures. Skilled in IP networking technologies, including TCP/IP, routing protocols, WLAN, VOIP, DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory
- Knowledgeable in network security concepts such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, PKI, encryption, authentication, and access control mechanisms
- Familiar with data centre infrastructure, network management, and analysis tools
- Collaborative and effective in cross-functional and multicultural environments
- Proficient in aligning technical solutions with business and service performance objectives
- Comfortable working within project-based environments and IT service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL).Fluent in English, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
