The role

We are looking for a hands-on IT Systems Administrator to help run and improve Modelon's internal IT environment. This is a broad role with real ownership and variety.

One day you might solve an onboarding issue, tighten access controls in Microsoft 365, or troubleshoot a VPN problem; the next, you're reviewing backup failures, managing licenses, updating documentation, or supporting core infrastructure and network services. What you'll do

• Support and maintain the day-to-day IT environment, keeping systems reliable and secure for colleagues across our offices.
• Own onboarding and offboarding — accounts, devices, and access — so new joiners are productive from day one.
• Administer business applications including Microsoft 365 (IAM, endpoint), Atlassian Cloud, GitLab, and other SaaS platforms.
• Manage identity and endpoints in Entra ID and Intune — including Conditional Access, MFA, and device compliance.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, VPN, and endpoint issues, and support core infrastructure and network services.
• Monitor and verify backups, and act on failures before they become problems.
• Manage software licenses, renewals, and IT asset inventory.
• Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles to improve operational consistency and reduce support overhead.

What we're looking for

Must have

• 3–5 years in an IT operations, administration, or support role.
• Solid hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, including identity and access.
• A structured, ownership-driven mindset. You follow issues through to resolution and document as you go.
• Strong communication skills and a service-oriented attitude; fluent in English (Swedish is a plus).

We'll help you grow into

• Intune/MDM device management — Conditional Access, MFA, and device compliance.
• Networking, VPNs, and core infrastructure and network services.
• Backup, monitoring, and IT security best practices.
• Scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell) to reduce manual, repetitive work.

Nice to have

• Exposure to administering Atlassian Cloud, GitLab, or other SaaS platforms.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure or ITSM / ticketing tools.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure / Identity, CompTIA).
