Test Equipment IT Service Technician (Automotive)

For the IT operation of test benches within a long-term test infrastructure programme in the automotive/connected car field, we are looking for Test Equipment IT Service Technicians. You are responsible for the setup, configuration and operation of the test-technology-specific IT hardware at our Ingolstadt and Wolfsburg sites – from procurement to 1st/2nd level support.

Requirements:

• Completed IT training (e.g. IT specialist for system integration) or comparable degree
• Solid IT understanding: Windows administration, applications and network technology
• Experience in IT installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and network installation
• Confident use of the Atlassian tool chain (Jira, Confluence)
• Good written and spoken German and English; independent, reliable and diligent way of working

Nice to have

• Experience in 1st/2nd level support
• Scripting skills (e.g. PowerShell, Python) as well as knowledge of Active Directory and client deployment
• ITIL fundamentals, agile methods (Scrum/SAFe) and awareness of information security (TISAX, ISO 27001)

Tools & technologies: Windows client/server administration, network technology, Atlassian Jira & Confluence as well as installation, configuration and troubleshooting of test-technology-specific tools.

Responsibilities:

• Planning, ordering, installation, configuration and management of the IT components required for test bench operation (test bench PCs, monitors, input devices)
• Setup and operation of test bench PCs incl. network and user configuration
• Installation and configuration of test software as well as execution of software and firmware updates
• Preparing the test racks for automation and remote capability
• Independent, cross-project management, maintenance and inventory of the IT hardware incl. creation of scripts with a graphical user interface
• 1st/2nd level support and reporting as well as compliance with the client's applicable IT guidelines and security standards
