Data Center Infrastructure Operations Technician
Location: On-site in Seattle, WA
An innovative technology infrastructure organization is seeking a Data Center Infrastructure Operations Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and day-to-day operation of critical infrastructure environments. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working with hardware, structured cabling, and physical infrastructure while helping ensure reliable, high-availability operations.
What You'll Do
- Assist with the installation, movement, and maintenance of infrastructure that supports day-to-day technology operations.
- Perform rack and stack activities, structured cabling, equipment labeling, and hardware validation.
- Diagnose and resolve issues affecting technology equipment, infrastructure, and overall system functionality.
- Provide hands-on support for infrastructure initiatives, technology updates, and deployment activities.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and maintenance to help ensure operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate documentation, inventory records, and asset tracking.
- Adhere to defined operating practices, workflow requirements, and workplace safety guidelines.
- Support the response to operational needs and assist with resolving technical concerns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support planned maintenance activities and operational initiatives.
- Contribute ideas that increase operational efficiency and strengthen internal processes and documentation.
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience supporting production data center or critical infrastructure environments.
- Hands-on experience supporting the installation and deployment of data center hardware and supporting infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of enterprise networking technologies and supporting infrastructure.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and infrastructure issues in a production environment.
- Ability to work a consistent onsite schedule while supporting operational needs as required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced technical environment.
- Experience working within established operational guidelines while maintaining compliance with workplace standards and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise data center operations or mission-critical environments.
- Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring, asset management, or ticketing systems.
- Working knowledge of enterprise technology hardware and the infrastructure that supports day-to-day operations.
- Experience working in startup or rapidly growing technology organizations.
