Network Technician

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Network Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure high network availability, support end-users, and assist with hardware/software upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN).
• Monitor network performance and ensure uptime and security.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and cabling faults.
• Respond to support tickets and assist end-users with network-related issues.
• Document network configurations, topology, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for circuit provisioning and repairs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Hands-on experience with network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, HP, etc.).
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols (OSPF/BGP).
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Certifications (Optional but a plus):

• CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
