Cloud Network Engineer

Job Description:

You will join our team as a Cloud Network Engineer, contributing to both strategic project initiatives and day-to-day operational tasks in a complex enterprise environment. You will work across cloud, data center, and on-premises networks, leveraging automation and modern DevOps practices to design, implement, operate, and optimize secure and scalable network solutions.

Your Missions:

• Design and implement Azure networking architectures, including Virtual Networks (VNet), VNet Peering, Subnets, Network Security Groups, service endpoints, private endpoints, and private links.
• Manage hybrid connectivity solutions such as VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, and Virtual WAN.
• Implement load balancing using Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Traffic Manager, and Front Door.
• Manage name resolution with Azure DNS, Private DNS, and custom DNS solutions.
• Secure and monitor network environments.
• Contribute to network designs and architecture for new solutions and services.
• Drive automation of network deployments using Terraform, Azure CLI, Azure DevOps pipelines, Python, and PowerShell.
• Integrate infrastructure-as-code (IaC) best practices.
• Collaborate with security, cloud, and application teams on new initiatives.
• Manage and maintain existing cloud network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot Layer 2-Layer 4 network issues, routing, peering, and connectivity.
• Support day-to-day changes, incident resolution, and performance optimization.
• Operationalize network monitoring, visibility, and alerting tools.
• Maintain IP address management (IPAM) and documentation.

Your Profile:

• Experience in cloud networking (5+ years), preferably Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking services.
• Expertise in networking technologies and protocols (routing protocols, OSI Model concepts, load balancing, hybrid cloud connectivity).
• Proven experience with cloud, data center, and hybrid/on-prem networking operations.
• Familiarity with network architecture and deployment at scale.
• Experience with automation and DevOps tools: Terraform (IaC), Azure DevOps/CI-CD pipelines, version control workflows, Python, PowerShell scripting, API integrations.
• Understanding of next-gen firewalls (Palo Alto preferred).
• Experience with monitoring and visibility tools.
• IPAM management.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills across complex environments.
• Azure certification (e.g., AZ-700) or equivalent knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
• Exposure to other network vendors (Cisco, F5, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience with SD-WAN is a plus.
• Familiarity with observability platforms (e.g., Azure Monitor, Prisma, Splunk) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a contractor capacity.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Collaborative mindset across technical and non-technical teams.
• English fluent. Additional languages are a plus.
