Quectel Wireless Solutions is a global IoT technology developer and cellular module supplier of 5G, LTE, LTE-A, LPWA, Smart Modules, C-V2X, GSM/GPRS, UMTS/HSPA(+), and GNSS modules. Due to business expansion in the Serbian market, our R&D Centre in Belgrade is looking for a motivated and proactive Field Application Engineer to join our growing team.

ON-SITE, Monday - Friday with flexible start between 7:30 - 9:30 AM.

We are looking for: FAE Solutions Engineer

Job Description:

• Act as the primary technical contact for customers, providing timely support throughout the entire product lifecycle—from design and development to testing, mass production, and post-sales support.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues remotely or on-site, coordinating with internal R&D teams to ensure efficient issue resolution and minimize turnaround time.
• Develop in-depth expertise across Quectel's product portfolio, including 4G/5G cellular modules, GNSS, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, radar, antenna, and power solutions.
• Design and recommend optimized hardware and software solutions based on customer applications and technical requirements.
• Prepare and deliver technical solution proposals, reference designs, application notes, product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customer training.
• Support customers during the prototype and design-in phases by reviewing schematics, providing PCB layout recommendations, antenna matching guidance, power optimization advice, and RF debugging support.
• Collect customer feedback, technical challenges, and market requirements to drive continuous improvements in products, SDKs, tools, documentation, and reference designs.
• Work closely with Sales teams during technical discussions, customer meetings, and solution presentations to support business development activities.
• Collaborate with Product Management and R&D teams by providing customer feedback, competitive insights, and technical recommendations that contribute to product enhancements and future development.
• Document technical solutions, best practices, and typical customer cases to expand the team's knowledge base and improve overall technical support capabilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with business needs and the scope of the position.

Requirements and preferable skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in Field Application Engineering, Solution Engineering, Embedded Systems, Wireless Communications, or IoT technologies.
• Strong understanding of wireless communication technologies, including LTE, 5G, LPWA, GNSS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and embedded hardware systems.
• Experience with hardware design, schematic review, PCB layout evaluation, RF fundamentals, antenna integration, or power optimization is considered a strong advantage.
• Experience supporting customers during product evaluation, design-in, validation, and production.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate customer requirements into complete technical solutions.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and customer-facing skills.
• Experience preparing technical documentation, application notes, or solution proposals.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to travel for customer visits and technical support.
