Job Duties
- Provide desktop and end-user technical support to USAO personnel in person, by phone, email, and through the help desk ticketing system.
- Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, copiers, telephones, mobile devices, video conferencing equipment, and other IT hardware.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, network, and peripheral device issues.
- Install software updates, security patches, and operating system upgrades.
- Configure and support user accounts, including password resets and account maintenance.
- Assist with setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of network equipment and connectivity issues.
- Perform routine maintenance and inventory management of IT assets and equipment.
- Support office relocations by installing and configuring computer workstations and related equipment.
- Assist with electronic records management and the secure disposal of electronic media.
- Provide user orientation and training on hardware, software, and standard office technology.
- Identify recurring technical issues and recommend process improvements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and support activities.
- Perform other IT support duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience providing general IT support.
- Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining desktop hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience supporting printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other office technology.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server and Apple iOS is preferred.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOJ Public Trust background investigation.
