The Opportunity
We are seeking a Network Engineer who will be responsible for supporting and maintaining customer network infrastructure across our managed services portfolio. This is a remote role based in the Denver metro area, with on-site customer support as needed. The Network Engineer I applies networking expertise to diagnose and resolve issues, deliver reliable network operations, and collaborate with senior engineers on complex initiatives in a fast-paced MSP environment.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a Network Engineer who will be responsible for supporting and maintaining customer network infrastructure across our managed services portfolio. This is a remote role based in the Denver metro area, with on-site customer support as needed. The Network Engineer I applies networking expertise to diagnose and resolve issues, deliver reliable network operations, and collaborate with senior engineers on complex initiatives in a fast-paced MSP environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise networking equipment including Cisco switches and access points, and Fortinet firewalls, applying technical expertise to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Provide on-site hands-on support at customer locations in the Denver metro area, including rack and stack, hardware replacement, cable management, and in-person incident response.
- Perform network monitoring, alerting, and incident response across multiple customer environments, applying independent judgment to triage and resolve issues.
- Execute AWS networking tasks including VPC configuration, security groups, and VPN connectivity.
- Analyze network configurations and recommend improvements based on observed performance, customer requirements, and best practices.
- Document network configurations, changes, and standard procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents, applying troubleshooting methodology to restore service.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on complex technical matters and contribute to knowledge-sharing across the team.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and customer service excellence.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1–3 years in networking or IT support roles.
- Core Networking: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and firewalls.
- Hardware: Hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Fortinet equipment.
- Systems & Cloud: Familiarity with Windows Server, Linux, and AWS (or other cloud platforms).
- Skills: Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and customer service communication skills.
- Location: Remote, but must be based in the Denver metro area for occasional on-site customer visits.
