Responsibilities (Customers/Internal)
- Assist with installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems
- Provide technical support to staff (hardware, software, and network issues)
- Help monitor and maintain network systems, backups, and security tools
- Document IT procedures, incidents, and solutions
- Participate with the IT team in routine maintenance tasks and system upgrades
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Good knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows & Linux), and networking fundamentals
- Skilled in network protocols and operations (e.g. routing, firewalls, VLANs)
- Previous experience (academic or practical) in Linux system administration and network configuration
- Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Eager to learn and able to handle confidential information responsibly
- Familiarity with network management tools and systems, such as Unifi, Omada, or Sophos
- Exposure to cloud environments, preferably Azure DevOps
- Familiar with Microsoft 365 and troubleshooting common technical issues
