Field IT Technician

Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain access control systems, video surveillance, and other security technologies
- Provide IT/networking support for system integration, including switches, servers, and wireless devices
- Configure databases and applications for security platforms (e.g., S2, Lenel, Genetec, Milestone, etc.)
- Perform troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to deliver projects on time and within scope
- Provide end-user training and support as needed
- Maintain accurate service documentation, system diagrams, and project notes
- Ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices
- 2+ years of IT or field technician experience (security industry preferred, but not required)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, and Windows environments
- Familiarity with databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, or similar) and basic query skills
- Experience with access control or video management systems a plus
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation
- Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset
- Willingness to travel locally to client sites; valid driver's license required
- Ability to lift and mount equipment when needed (up to 50 lbs)
- Legally Eligible to Work in The U.S
- Able to Pass a Background Investigation and Drug Screening
