Network Operations Professional - Data Center Support

- As a Network Operations Professional in our DCH Network product you'll engage in implementation of new services and platforms, maintenance of our installed infrastructure and day to day operations (request, change and incident handling)
- Your primary responsibilities will be related to our Data Center Hybrid Network Services; our global MS Azure Cloud Network Infrastructure, our VMware NSX segmentation services, our Citrix NetScaler ADC Load balancing services, and our Cisco Nexus ACI infrastructure
- This is a mid-level engineer position, and we expect you to combine your solid technical skills with a senior attitude owning and executing tasks in both a timely manner and in high quality as well as guiding more junior profiles in the team
- You will work together with architects and engineers planning and executing platform development and you'll execute and oversee day to day tasks with fellow Operations Engineers
- We are a global company with critical services in all regions, and you will be working in a 24/5 setup with scheduled but changing work hours, on top we have an on-call setup covering our weekends
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise routing, switching, and security platforms
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and fix complex network problems at an intermediate to advanced level
- Experience with the development and support of large enterprise networks, particularly in SDN portfolios such as Cisco ACI and cloud networking
- Networking certifications from major vendors (Cisco, VMware, Juniper, Microsoft, etc.) or formal education such as a Bachelor's or master's degree in IT (Information Technology), Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications could include VMware VCIX/NV, Citrix, or Cisco CCNP (Enterprise or Data Center)
- Experience in key platforms such as Azure Cloud, Citrix Netscaler, VMware NSX, and Cisco ACI (including Nexus 9000 series switches used in ACI fabrics). Practical experience in these areas is beneficial
- Our global network infrastructure and DC networks are Cisco based, hence experience working with Cisco equipment such as ISR4xxx, ASR1xxx, C8x00, and Catalyst switches at both design and practical levels is required
- Experience in managing and supporting firewall platforms such as Check Point; familiarity with Cisco Firepower (FTD/FMC)
- Knowledge of network automation using Python, Ansible, or comparable protocols is beneficial. An interest in network automation is a must
- You are consistent as a person, both regarding your working habits - being disciplined and systematic - and towards your colleagues asking for your skilled consultancy. If you know you share, if you are in doubt, you ask and if you disagree you speak up
- Data Center Services are critical infrastructure for our business and a structured approach, a valuable point of view and experience diagnosing and fixing critical service problems
- There is no right way to do the wrong thing - You insist on standards, documentation and agreed process
