Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Subnetting, Routing (OSPF/BGP/EIGRP), and Switching protocols.
Hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and proxies.
Network configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting on Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or Palo Alto devices.
Experience with network performance monitoring and diagnostics using tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.

Ability to simulate multi-tier network topologies for testing applications, DR, or upgrades.
Integration of network test beds with orchestration workflows for automated environment creation and teardown.

Knowledge of intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and network monitoring for threats.
Hands-on experience with VPNs, secure routing, and encrypted traffic management.
Perform vulnerability assessment, patching, and compliance checks for network infrastructure.
Monitoring and reporting network performance, capacity, and availability.
Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams for end-to-end environment provisioning and governance.
Knowledge of API-based network automation and integration with CI/CD pipelines.

Exposure to multi-cloud virtual networking for hybrid and DR environments.

Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role
1 Configure, manage, and maintain network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
