Role OverviewBased out of the Makati facility, the Network/Telecommunications Support Specialist ensures the availability, operational performance, and security of the corporate voice, data, and wide-area networking systems. This role combines hands-on physical configuration with network utilization monitoring and supplier management.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and conduct structured preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) programs on all active data networks and physical communications equipment.
- Perform and coordinate physical installations, diagnostic testing, and technical repairs on telephone systems, data networks, and leased circuits.
- Monitor and compile regular reporting metrics for scheduled telecommunications systems operations programs and asset tracking.
- Deliver operational notifications to end-users and asset management regarding scheduled change events, circuit downtimes, and work windows.
- Coordinate directly with third-party telecommunications service suppliers and carriers to track service delivery and resolve line issues.
- Perform daily gathering of network performance snapshots and submit monthly performance reports.
- Execute daily monitoring of internet utilization (via MRTG and speed tests) and dedicated wide-area circuits (e.g., Globe, PLDT, Philcom).
- Implement semi-annual technical security control audits and network security compliance checks.
- Configure, document, and troubleshoot network appliances spanning Routers, Core Switches, Edge Switches, Access Points, VG310 Gateways, and KEMP Load Balancers.
- Administer Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), managing Telephone Authorization Codes (TAC), voicemail accounts, and device status changes.
- Perform routine ad-hoc and semi-annual backups of network equipment configuration states.
- Conduct technical quality control reviews on physical infrastructure installations executed by third-party contractor personnel.
- Must hold a valid Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching or Cisco Certified Professional designation.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct, hands-on professional experience configuring and deploying Cisco network hardware.
- Demonstrated operational knowledge across network security management, LAN infrastructure cabling, wireless LAN standards, and WAN routing protocols.
- Direct experience managing network layers via Hubs, Bridges, Switches, Routers, and Load Balancers.
- Hands-on administrative command of Cisco Unified Communication Manager (CUCM) and Unified Communication (UC) ecosystems.
