Network Architect

KEY OBJECTIVES:

Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable and secure network infrastructure to support business operations.

Job Specifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field

Experience

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in network infrastructure and security

Technical Skills

• Working knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
• Experience in VLANs, trunking, and network segmentation
• Familiarity with firewall configurations, ACLs, NAT, QoS, and CoS
• Hands-on exposure to Cisco routers, switches, core switches, and voice gateways
• Experience supporting WAN and voice telecommunication solutions

Other Competencies

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Good documentation and reporting abilities
• Effective communication skills (oral and written)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, shifting schedule environment

Preferred Certifications / Trainings

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) – as a foundation (optional but advantageous)
• Network Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Cisco Security)
• ITIL Foundation (for service management exposure)
