System / Network Tester

For an important international project we are looking for a System / Network Tester to join a specialised technical team working on the development and validation of communication systems.

We are interested in candidates with practical experience in networks and communication infrastructure. Extensive experience is not required: if you have between 1 and 2 years of experience and have worked with networking, troubleshooting, and network traffic analysis, we would be pleased to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and validation of distributed communication systems.

• Analyse network traffic using Wireshark.

• Collaborate in the definition and execution of test cases and test scripts.

• Troubleshoot network issues and identify their root causes.

• Work with switches, routers, firewalls, Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks, and Linux environments.

• Support the verification of the correct operation of virtual machines in VMware.

Requirements

• University degree or technical qualification in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field.

• At least 1 year of practical experience in networking, system testing, or network troubleshooting.

• Good knowledge of TCP/IP, Layer 2/Layer 3, routing, switching, firewalls, and Linux.

• Experience using Wireshark.

• Familiarity with network testing tools such as iperf/jperf is considered an advantage.

• Good level of English.
