Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the financial services industry, is looking for a Production Support / Sustain Engineer to monitor and maintain AWS cloud services, providing operational support for Snowflake data platform workloads, and supporting Microsoft SQL Server databases.


Core Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain AWS cloud services (Glue, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch) supporting production data workloads
  • Provide operational support for Snowflake data platform workloads, including query monitoring, warehouse management, and task/pipe troubleshooting
  • Support Microsoft SQL Server databases, including basic DBA tasks and ongoing query performance tuning
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries for ad-hoc investigation and data validation
  • Build and maintain Dynatrace dashboards and configure alerting thresholds
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, including with marketing stakeholders, to troubleshoot issues and communicate status in a fast-paced environment

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical operations, sustain, or platform support role
  • 5+ years' experience with AWS services (Glue, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch)
  • Experience supporting Snowflake, including query monitoring, warehouse management, and task/pipe troubleshooting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server — query writing, stored procedures, and basic DBA tasks
  • Strong SQL skills for ad-hoc investigation and data validation
  • Experience building or maintaining Dynatrace dashboards and configuring alerting thresholds
