[AVP] Mobility Service Data Engineer

Who we are

We are responsible for development, operation, and management of a Shucle platform, a Mobility as a Service (MaaS) solution utilizing smart technology.

We handle all aspects of planning, development, data analysis, service operations, and business development for the community-based demand-responsive transportation service, and we work directly on these tasks to ensure agility and focus on both customers and service enhancement.

Our goal is to create a service that embodies the abstract concept of MaaS, enabling everyone to move freely in their daily lives.

• Shucle (https://www.shucle.com) was introduced in 2020 as South Korea's first urban demand-responsive transportation service utilizing AI technology. Since then, it has become the number one community mobility service platform with the largest user base and operational records.

Responsibilities

This role is software engineering to solve problems in representing different events in services as data. We solve technical problems in the process of understanding users through data, and develop products that support data-based decision making through data platforms.

■ Data Platform Development and Operation

• Designing highly available and scalable data processing systems
• Enhancing lakehouse architecture for reliable ingestion of structured and unstructured data
• Designing and implementing feature store to improve model development productivity for data scientists
• Developing and improving data products which support data-driven decision-making

■ Data Pipeline Development and Operation

• Reliable data delivery for real-time and batch use cases
• Designing testable pipeline environment for data validation and easier troubleshooting
• Optimizing rapid and accurate data provision processes in accordance with service requirements

■ Data Governance Framework Establishment

• Developing data standardization policies and enhancing data dictionary
• Advancing data lifecycle management and data lineage capabilities
• Defining data quality monitoring metrics and execution of continuous quality improvement activities

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience in developing/operating scalable data architectures for large-scale traffic processing or equivalent knowledge
• Proficiency in one or more development languages such as Go, Python, Scale, Kotlin, Java, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
• Experience in modern data platforms and processing technologies such as Spark, BigQuery, and Flink
• Experience in data catalog and governance tools such as DataHub, Amundsen, and OpenMetadata
• Experience in Open Table Formats such as Iceberg, Hudi, and Delta Lake
• Extensive experience in building and operating data platforms on Kubernetes
• Knowledge and experience in mobility domain, including routing and location data analysis
