Data Lead

About Position:

The Data Lead will be responsible for leading the architecture, design, and delivery of real-time data solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Azure Cloud, and distributed systems technologies. The role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on data engineering expertise, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across Microsoft and LSEG to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms.

What You'll Do:

• Lead technical design discussions with LSEG and ensure alignment across Microsoft organizations, including ISD, PG, and CSU.
• Own the end-to-end technical delivery of Microsoft Fabric solutions, including Real-Time Intelligence (RTI), One Lake, and Event house.
• Establish technical standards, design principles, and architecture best practices across the delivery team.
• Design and implement scalable real-time data ingestion, processing, and analytics solutions.
• Provide deep expertise in Real-Time Intelligence (RTI) and data streaming technologies.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, PySpark, and/or Java.
• Enable efficient ingestion, processing, and querying of data within Event house environments.
• Lead the development of Java (Spring Boot) microservices and distributed systems.
• Design and implement Azure cloud-native architectures using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Event Hubs, Azure Cosmos DB, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Ensure the architecture supports enterprise-scale workloads and business objectives.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Fabric Real-Time Intelligence (RTI) and Event house.
• Proven experience in Java Spring Boot microservices and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Strong experience with Azure Event Hubs and event-driven architecture.
• Working knowledge of Azure Cosmos DB, One Lake, PySpark, and Azure cloud-native solution design.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and stakeholder collaboration across complex enterprise programmes.
