Immediate Hiring: Big Data Developer | Start Date: 25th August 2026

Location: United Kingdom

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per year

Experience: 2–5 Years


Note: Candidate is required to travel to London twice a week for onboarding and training.


Job Summary

We are looking for a Big Data Developer to join our growing engineering team and contribute to the design, development, and optimization of large-scale data processing solutions.

This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in Python, Big Data technologies, and distributed data processing frameworks who are passionate about building scalable, high-performance data platforms in an Agile environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Big Data applications and data pipelines.
  • Build and optimize large-scale data processing solutions using modern Big Data technologies.
  • Develop high-performance applications using Python and Java.
  • Process, transform, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical data solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability across data platforms.
  • Follow software engineering best practices and Agile development methodologies.


Required Skills & Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in Big Data or software development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python (mandatory).
  • Experience with Java.
  • Experience working with Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Hive.
  • Good understanding of distributed data processing frameworks.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.


Nice to Have

  • Experience with Scala.
  • Exposure to Kafka or other streaming technologies.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.


Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field.


Additional Requirements

  • UK-based candidates only.
  • Must be willing to travel within the UK based on project/client requirements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
