Database Administrator

  • Performance Tuning:
    • Optimize database performance through performance tuning, query optimization, and index management to enhance system efficiency and response times.
    • Conduct regular capacity planning and resource utilization analysis to anticipate and address database growth and scalability needs.
  • Backup and Recovery:
    • Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures to minimize data loss and ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or disasters.
    • Perform regular backups, test recovery procedures, and implement disaster recovery solutions to mitigate risks and maintain data integrity.
Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role, with expertise in database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Strong understanding of database architecture, data modeling, and SQL query language.
  • Experience with database performance monitoring and tuning tools, as well as backup and recovery solutions.
  • Knowledge of data security best practices, compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and database encryption techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues and implement effective solutions.
