Responsibilities
- Maintain a resilient, scalable, and high-performing SAN and storage infrastructure that supports critical global products and services
- Ensure maximum reliability and operational stability across on-premises data centers by maintaining clean configurations and adhering to industry best practices
- Proactively monitor, analyze, and resolve storage-related issues to maintain high service availability and prevent business impact
- Improve operational efficiency through automation, reducing manual effort and minimizing operational risks
- Perform capacity planning and analyze growth trends to ensure the storage environment can meet future business demands
- Conduct regular audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality and performance of the infrastructure
- Manage the storage lifecycle, including hardware, firmware, and software upgrades, ensuring systems remain healthy, secure, and up to date
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver stable, secure, and high-performing storage services that support critical business platforms
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise storage environments with multiple storage arrays and Fibre Channel (FC) switches
- Strong experience with enterprise storage platforms such as Dell EMC, NetApp, Pure Storage, HPE, Hitachi, or Infinidat, as well as Cisco MDS FC switches
- Solid understanding of storage and networking concepts, including Fibre Channel, SCSI, NFS, and multipathing
- Experience in configuring and administering storage environments, including provisioning, deprovisioning, zoning, and zoning management
- Proven ability to troubleshoot storage connectivity, visibility, and performance-related issues
- Experience in planning and executing SAN and storage upgrades, including firmware, code, and patch management
- Knowledge of storage integration with virtualization and compute platforms such as VMware and Cisco UCS
- Strong understanding of RAID technologies, thin and thick provisioning, deduplication, and data compression
- Experience implementing and managing storage data protection solutions, including snapshots and synchronous/asynchronous replication
- Scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible to improve operational efficiency
- Willingness to participate in on-call support and incident response activities
