Distributed Storage Engineer at BairesDev
As a Distributed Storage Engineer, you will architect and maintain high-performance storage systems that ensure data durability and availability at an enterprise scale. You will act as a specialist in data persistence, translating complex consistency requirements into robust, scalable software-defined storage solutions.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement distributed storage architectures including object stores, block storage, and file systems.
- Optimize storage performance and ensure data integrity across large-scale clusters using C/C++, Go, or Rust.
- Manage and scale distributed technologies like Ceph or MinIO to meet increasing data demands.
- Develop and refine replication and sharding strategies to maintain high availability and fault tolerance.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to integrate storage solutions with cloud-native and on-premise environments.
- Monitor and troubleshoot complex issues related to data consistency models and system latency.
- 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Distributed Systems.
- Proven expertise in developing and optimizing storage systems using C/C++, Go, or Rust.
- Hands-on experience with distributed storage technologies such as Ceph, MinIO, or S3-compatible systems.
- Deep understanding of data durability, consistency models, and replication strategies.
- Proficiency in designing and managing distributed file systems, object stores, or block storage at scale.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
