We are currently recruiting a Mid-Level Database Engineer (DBA) for Evotracking, a Vodafone technology company and one of Romania's leading providers of fleet management and GPS monitoring solutions.

While this role is within Evotracking, you’ll be joining a company that is part of the Vodafone family, combining the agility of a product-focused tech organization with the stability and backing of a major international group.

📍 Location: Bucharest or Ploiești (preferred)

Every day, Evotracking's platform processes massive volumes of GPS and telemetry data from tens of thousands of connected vehicles and assets.

As a Database Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the performance, reliability, scalability, and integrity of the databases behind one of Romania's leading SaaS fleet management platforms.

You'll collaborate closely with Development, DevOps, QA, and Product teams while working with modern environments spanning both Microsoft Azure and local data centers.

What you'll be working with

✅ SaaS Multi-Tenant Platforms

We're looking for someone with

🔹 4+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server & T-SQL

🔹 Strong understanding of database design and relational architecture

🔹 Experience with stored procedures, functions, indexing, optimization, and execution plans

🔹 Knowledge of DBA operations, performance analysis, monitoring, security, and availability

🔹 A collaborative mindset and passion for solving complex data challenges

Nice to have

➕ PostgreSQL

➕ NoSQL databases

➕ High Availability & Disaster Recovery solutions

➕ Large-scale telemetry or time-series data experience

➕ Database migration, replication, archiving, and partitioning knowledge
