Senior ETL Developer

We are seeking talented and experienced ETL Developers to join our team. The role focuses on interpreting functional specifications, defining transformation rules, and implementing endtoend data pipelines across enterprise data platforms. Candidates should have strong SQL thinking, Terradata knowledge and familiarity with data warehousing concepts. Sector experience in banking or financial services is a strong advantage.

This position is open at any of our locations in Romania, including the option to work remotely within the country.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines to transform data across source and target systems

• Analyze source data structures and map them to target data models

• Define transformation logic and datasets using SQL based thinking and data modeling tools (e.g., PowerDesigner)

• Implement data mappings, cleansing rules, business transformations, and validation logic

• Perform data quality checks, reconciliation, and defect resolution

• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and crossfunctional teams to refine requirements

• Prepare and support test cycles (unit testing, SIT, UAT)

• Participate in production load support and issue resolution

• Learn domain specific or platformspecific knowledge as required (e.g., banking, core systems)

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field

• Strong SQL skills and ability to think in terms of datasets and transformation

• Previous hands-on experience with Terradata is nice to have

• Hands-on experience with ETL development in any enterprise grade ETL tool (Informatica, DataStage, Talend, SSIS, IICS, etc.)

• Experience with data modeling tools (PowerDesigner or equivalent)

• Good understanding of data warehousing, including 3NF and dimensional models

• Ability to interpret functional/business specifications and convert them into technical transformations

• Familiarity with regulated or enterprise environments (banking/finance preferred)

Nice to Have

• Experience working within banking or financial services data environments

• Knowledge of data migration or platform transformation programs

• Exposure to Teradata, Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, or similar platforms

• Experience with cloudbased ETL or orchestration (AWS, Azure, GCP)
