About The Role
We are looking to hire an experienced and passionate Data Software Engineer to join Digital Factory. This role focuses on building and operating scalable data pipelines and ensuring reliable, cost-efficient data processing on our Databricks-based data platform.
You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality and accessible data while contributing to both functional and technical decision-making.
Main Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day operations of Databricks data pipelines, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
- Maintaining Delta Lake data layers (bronze / silver / gold), ensuring data availability, consistency, and smooth pipeline execution
- Monitoring and supporting data pipeline operations (failures, delays, data quality issues)
- Performing incident handling and root cause analysis for data platform issues
- Optimizing Spark jobs, cluster performance, and platform cost usage
- Implementing data observability (logging, monitoring, alerting)
- Supporting CI/CD and deployment of data pipelines
- Collaborating to ensure end-to-end data reliability and SLA adherence
- Education
- University or college degree with specialization in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent practical experience
- Experience
- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineeringor similar role
- Experience with distributed data processing (Apache Spark)
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (preferably Databricks)
- Exposure to running and supporting production data pipelines
- Experience troubleshooting data issues in live environments
- Ability to work in a geo-distributed team with limited supervision
- Professional and Technical Competencies
- Hand-on Experience with Azure Databricks and/or Apache Spark
- Understanding of Lakehouse architecture and Delta Lake
- Knowledge of orchestration tools (ADF, Airflow, Databricks Workflows) and CI/CD tools
- Understanding of monitoring and logging in data platforms (Datadog, Azure Monitor)
- Strong programming skills (Python preferred, Java optional)
- Professional usage of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Atlassian JIRA, Confluence.
- Basic understanding of data security and scalability principles

Main Recruitment Steps
- Initial call- You will be contacted by MOL Recruitment via phone for a short chat.
- Interview- You can expect three interview rounds, where you can meet your direct manager, some experts from the team, ask your questions and present your skills and career path. We always make sure you receive timely feedback after each round.
- Technical Assessment- You will either receive a take-home assignment after the first interview or be asked to solve an exercise on the spot at one of the interviews.
