Data Center and Cloud Engineer (m/f/d)

As Data Center and Cloud Engineer, you will be part of a global team providing ABS Infrastructure as a service to Allianz Customers across the globe. This team is responsible for providing a reliable and secure service with incremental updates to customers in a timely manner. All aspects related to the platform provided example, Availability, Disaster Recovery, Vulnerability management, Architecture & Documentation, Service Provisioning and Incident Handling will be managed by the team.

What You Do

• Ultilize your advanced knowledge of Linux (Redhat, Satellite, Sysconf, Purescale) to manage and optimize our server environments. Basic experience using GPFS Purescale.
• Leverage your advanced VMWare skills, including SRIOV, to enhance virtualization capabilities. Apply your network skills, particularly IPv4 and RoCE, to maintain and improve network performance
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools using languages like Ansible, Groovy, PHP, SQL and HTML to streamline operations. Optional involvement in cloud architecture and deployment, contributing to our cloud strategy.
• Manage advanced Commvault backup solutions to ensure data protection and recovery. Utilize tools like Dynatrace, Grafana, Service Now, JIRA/Confluence, and Github for system monitoring, performance analysis, and collaboration. Embrace DevOps methodologies to enhance collaboration and efficiency across teams
• Work effectively within a team, demonstrating strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Conduct error and performance analyses, defining measures to improve system reliability and efficiency
• Proficient in leveraging large language model (LLM) services to design, integrate, and optimize AI-driven solutions that enhance productivity, automation, and decision-making.

• Higher education degree in IT or comparable technical education, with experience in IT management and IT security tools and basic Agile Mindset.
• Advanced/Senior Linux Knowledge: Redhat; Satellite; Sysconf. Intermediate Storage Architecure Knowledge, GPFS Purescale (optional)
• Advanced VMWare Knowledge, SRIOV (mandatory). Network Skills: IPv4 (mandatory), RoCE (preferred)
• Cloud Knowledge: Optional involvement in cloud architecture and deployment. AI / Large Language Models: Claude, ChatGPT, MS Copilot
• Programming Languages Ansible (mandatory), Groovy (mandatory), PHP (optional), SQL (optional), HTML (optional). DevOps Practices
• Advanced Commvault Backup Knowledge. Familiarity with Tools: Dynatrace, Jenkins, Grafana, Service Now, JIRA/Confluence, Github
• Willingness to work on weekends. Team Collaboration, team player, honest and trustful communication. Customer centricity with self-organization.
• Language Skills: English fluent (mandatory), German fluent (preferred)
• Machine learning knowledge would be a strong advantage.
