Role Description This is a full-time Data Engineer role in a hybrid work arrangement, based in Bangkok City, Thailand, with some work from home flexibility. The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain data pipelines that support analytics, reporting, and operational systems. Day-to-day tasks include developing and optimizing ETL processes, implementing data models and data warehousing solutions, and ensuring data quality, reliability, and security across multiple data sources. The role involves collaborating with data analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. The Data Engineer will also monitor performance, troubleshoot data issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of the data infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Strong Data Engineering skills, including building and maintaining data pipelines and integration workflows.
- Experience with Data Modeling and Data Warehousing to design scalable, well-structured data architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools, focusing on performance and reliability.
- Ability to perform Data Analytics, including querying, aggregating, and transforming data for insights and reporting.
- Proficiency with SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, or Scala).
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases, and modern data platforms or cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is beneficial.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and best practices for data quality and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
