Data Engineer / Consultant

Our client is looking for a Data Engineer who’s looking to take the next step in their career and learn from the best in the business. Do you have a passion for designing advanced data models and delivering impactful insights? We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer Consultant to join our client's dynamic team!

You’ll be working across the full stack of data solutions from building backend data warehouses to analytics and visualisation through dashboards. This opportunity is really more about attitude than experience, someone who wants to learn and expand their knowledge is what our client is after. This is your chance to work with some of the biggest data guru's in New Zealand, keynote speakers who will open doors you never thought were there.

Locations: Auckland and Wellington

What You’ll Need To Succeed

• In-depth knowledge of SQL and/or other database solutions
• Proficiency in Data warehousing and ETL tools
• Experience in Databricks is a must
• Experience in data modelling techniques
• Be able to translate business requirements into conceptual and logical data models
• Ability to create SQL queries, Stored Procedures, and User-Defined Functions.
• Exposure to visualisation and dashboarding (PowerBI, Tableau etc) would be a nice to have
• Must have good communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced agile environment with tight deadlines
• Strong customer service skills to both internal and external clients
• A bonus would be someone who is experienced with AWS, Azure and Snowflake
