The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in C++, experience with exchange protocols, and a strong understanding of high-performance computing in financial markets.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize low-latency trading gateways and market access components.
  • Implement exchange connectivity for global markets (e.g., NSE, BSE, CME, NYSE, etc.).
  • Work closely with traders and business stakeholders to understand latency-sensitive requirements.
  • Tune performance across CPU, memory, and network layers to achieve microsecond-level latency.
  • Maintain and enhance existing trading infrastructure with a focus on reliability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to deploy and monitor systems in production.

Mandatory Skills

  • 6–12+ years of hands-on experience in C++ development.
  • Strong proficiency in modern C++ (C++17 or later) and multithreaded programming.
  • Experience building high-performance, low-latency systems.
  • Deep understanding of low-level systems programming, including memory management and CPU architecture.
  • Experience with network programming (TCP/UDP, multicast) and Linux kernel internals.
  • Familiarity with exchange protocols such as FIX, OUCH, and ITCH.
  • Proven track record of developing high-performance, low-latency applications.
  • Strong debugging and profiling skills using tools such as perf, gdb, and Valgrind.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux and scripting (Shell, Python).

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Exposure to exchange connectivity and financial messaging protocols.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Desktop).
  • Knowledge of Python and/or Java.
  • Experience in financial markets, particularly market connectivity or high-frequency trading (HFT) environments.
  • Familiarity with real-time monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
  • Willingness to work from the office 3 days per week.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
