Senior Software Engineer

We're partnering with an innovative semiconductor equipment company developing next-generation precision manufacturing technology. As they continue to expand, they're looking for a Senior Controls Software Engineer to help develop advanced motion control systems that drive some of the most sophisticated manufacturing equipment in the industry.

About the Role:

As a Senior Controls Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and developing software that controls ultra-high precision motion systems, image acquisition platforms, and custom hardware interfaces. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to create reliable, high-performance control systems used in advanced semiconductor manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software for advanced motion control and precision automation systems.
• Develop hardware interfaces, device drivers, and system-level software in C++.
• Design and implement closed-loop feedback control algorithms for high-precision motion platforms.
• Develop calibration routines, data acquisition systems, and system diagnostics.
• Design, test, and optimize image acquisition and image processing applications.
• Integrate cameras, frame grabbers, sensors, motors, and other precision hardware into complete control systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers to optimize overall system performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience developing software that interfaces directly with hardware.
• Expert-level C++ development experience.
• Strong experience developing software in Linux environments using GNU toolchains.
• Experience with closed-loop feedback control systems, motion control, or industrial automation.
