Software Engineer

A leading global technology-driven trading firm is seeking Software Engineers to join a highly regarded engineering team responsible for building and maintaining the critical infrastructure that powers a large-scale, real-time trading environment.

The Role:

As part of this high-performance engineering team, you will:

• Design, build and maintain critical infrastructure and platform components used across the organisation.
• Develop high-performance systems operating under demanding reliability and latency requirements.
• Partner closely with engineering and business teams to solve complex technical problems.
• Build elegant, scalable solutions within a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
• Drive improvements across software performance, scalability and productivity.
• Help set technical direction of critical projects.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems.
• Strong computer science fundamentals across algorithms and data structures, memory management, concurrency and multithreading, CPU architecture and operating systems.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and Linux, or a demonstrated ability to quickly become productive in these technologies.
• Passion for writing clean, maintainable and efficient code.
• Background in finance is not required.
