- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software, or related discipline or equivalent years of experience.
- Previous C++ or python development/test experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and thus a US Citizen
Location: This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work: Andover MA, and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.

What does this role look like?
For this role, you will be joining the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Avionics organization committed to developing flight software for the missile system. They will join a team of software engineers that designs and develops mission critical Avionics subsystems for the FBM program. The duties for the position will incorporate all phases of the software development life cycle -- requirements, design, code, test, and maintenance.

Desired Skills
- Experience in processor and microprocessor firmware (non-OS based).
- Experience in processor firmware and software (OS based) - software drivers and firmware wrappers.
- Understanding of missile or satellite software systems.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent team orientation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills with management and peers.
