About The Role

You will work closely with mechanical, electrical, and materials engineers to design, prototype, and iterate on novel manufacturing hardware in a lean, hands-on startup environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and implement robotic and automation systems for metal additive manufacturing equipment.
  • Develop motion control strategies for high-precision positioning, scanning, and deposition systems.
  • Integrate robotics with mechanical structures, sensors, power electronics, and control hardware.
  • Support real-time control, synchronization, and feedback loops for manufacturing processes.
  • Assist with system calibration, debugging, and performance tuning.
  • Build and test prototypes using analytical and numerical models to reduce experimental costs.
  • Conduct experimental testing and data collection to improve repeatability and throughput.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with robotics, automation, or mechatronic systems.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, or similar languages.

Advanced metal additive manufacturing for aerospace, defense, and energy systems.
