JOB DUTIES:
- Design and development of embedded firmware for sensor applications including sensor interfacing, data acquisition, signal processing and RF protocol stack implementation.
- Architect and implement firmware solutions optimized for real-time sensor data acquisition, analysis, and control in diverse application scenarios.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system requirements and specifications for sensor integration, ensuring seamless interaction between firmware and sensor hardware.
- Optimize firmware performance for low-power operation, resource-constrained environments, and real-time communication requirements.
- Develop and maintain firmware drivers and libraries for common sensor types, enabling rapid development and deployment of sensor applications across different platforms.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of firmware functionality, performance, and reliability, addressing any issues or deficiencies through iterative refinement and optimization.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in sensor technology, embedded systems, and firmware development methodologies, integrating emerging technologies and best practices into our development process.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development, with a focus on sensor applications and real-time systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C and C++ for embedded systems, with experience in firmware development for microcontrollers, and SoCs.
- Proficiency in HW interfaces such as I2C, UART, GPIO, ADC and SPI.
- Experience with RTOS such as FreeRTOS Zephyr and TI RTOS.
- Experience using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and device programmers.
- Deep understanding of sensor principles, including analog and digital sensor interfaces, data formats, and signal processing techniques.
- Experience with common sensor types and applications, such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, temperature sensors, pressure sensors, proximity sensors, and environmental sensors.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex firmware issues and optimize performance for efficiency and reliability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
