We are looking for a Software Application Architect who leads the translation of system and software architecture and designs into robust and flexible implementations. As part of the robot software architecture team, you contribute to a common and future oriented software architecture and development environment and ensure the timely and consistent implementation in the different robot software subsystems.

Your Mission

• Own the translation of the defined software architecture and design into flexible software components
• Collaborate closely with implementation teams to convey the software architecture and design principles into the implementation teams
• Ensure clean, simple, and low-dependency implementations of the defined architecture throughout the development lifecycle
• Collaborate closely with the Build System, DevOps, industrialization and QA teams to gather requirements and needs for a flexible and extensible software architecture
• Keep track of defined interfaces between subsystems to ensure low coupling
• Balance implementation complexity with defined timelines

Your Skillset

• Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Strong background in industrial software architectures, design paradigms and modern technology standards
• ~10 years of software engineering experience, ideally in industrial and embedded applications
• Expertise in designing and implementing hard real-time systems
• Solid experience with robotics software stacks and technologies (ROS, motion control, sensor pipelines)
• Proficiency in C++, Python, Bash
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with robotics workflows, ML-ready data architectures, functional safety and cyber security is a plus
