Enterprise Resources Planning Developer

Robert Half is recruiting for an ERP developer in the West Michigan area. This is a direct hire role that will require onsite work in Zeeland, MI.

About the Role

The Software Developer will play a crucial role in the development and customization of AL extensions for Business Central, ensuring that our solutions meet the evolving needs of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Development & Customization: Design, develop, and test AL extensions to customize Business Central, ensuring functionality aligns with business needs
• System Integration: Integrate Business Central with our own C# web apps and third-party applications. Extend our solution with Microsoft Power Platform
• Upgrades & Maintenance: Perform, troubleshoot, test and debug technical issues in the development of new software.
• Data Management: Execute data conversions and maintain data integrity
• Collaboration: Ability to work with others to design, develop and solve problems throughout the process of developing new software. Includes the ability to create technical documentation, specifications, and test plans.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience preferred.

Required Skills

• Experience: 2+ years of professional experience as a Software Developer within the Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central ecosystem.
• Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of AL, and Visual Studio Code.
• Azure: Experience with Azure DevOps for version control and deployment.
• Database Knowledge: AL database experience with some experience using Microsoft SQL Server.

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer Associate.
• Analytical: Analytical, methodical, and logical thinking.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with clients/end-users.
• Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
