Core C++ Engineer - HFT | Global

We're hiring for a systematic trading firm building ultra-low-latency infrastructure for electronic markets. Looking for a Core C++ engineer with real experience operating at the sharp end of tick-to-trade latency, someone who thinks in nanoseconds, not milliseconds.

What you'll be doing:

  • Owning latency across market data ingestion, strategy signal generation, and order entry
  • Writing lock-free data structures and cache-conscious code, with a solid understanding of CPU cache behavior
  • Working with kernel bypass networking (DPDK, Solarflare/OpenOnload, or similar) and tuning things like NUMA topology and huge pages for consistent performance
  • Building and maintaining feed handlers and low-latency order entry systems
  • Profiling and optimizing hot paths using tools like perf or VTune to cut latency and remove unnecessary allocation
  • Caring about consistency, not just speed. Tail latency and jitter matter as much as the average
  • Working closely with quants and infrastructure engineers to improve execution speed and reliability

What we're looking for:

  • 5-15 years in HFT, market making, or similarly latency-sensitive environments
  • Expert level modern C++ (17/20/23), comfortable working close to the metal
  • Strong understanding of concurrency, memory ordering, and multi-threaded design
  • Solid Linux systems knowledge, including performance tuning
  • A track record of building and maintaining production systems where microseconds mattered
  • Nice to have: experience with FPGA-based trading, hardware timestamping, or colocation setups

Culture:

Small, high-ownership team in a low bureaucracy environment. People who enjoy solving hard engineering problems and take pride in doing things properly. Direct communication, fast iteration, high autonomy.

Comp: Highly competitive base with meaningful upside tied to performance. Global remote-friendly, with strong equipment and regular offsites.
