Responsibilities
- Responsible for the spacecraft ADCS subsystem design.
- Design and implement guidance & control algorithms in an embedded software environment.
- Define requirements for ADCS subsystem.
- Guide GNC hardware procurement.
- Guide the development of ADCS component emulators in integrated modeling environments.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to validate hardware systems.
- Design the ADCS verification and validation approach for the spacecraft including environmental and acceptance testing.
- Ensure documentation is accurate and complies with company standards.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets related to aerospace engineering tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related field
- At least five years of experience designing, analyzing and building software in an aerospace environment or other relevant industry experience.
- Software skills in C, C++.
- Knowledge of control and optimization theory.
- Expertise in numerical programming environments (Python, MATLAB,etc.).
- Familiarity with ADCS design and simulation for spacecraft systems.
- Experience running dynamic simulations for spacecraft.
- Proven track record in the successful design and development of software systems for either terrestrial or satellite applications.
- Creative problem-solving skills, with the capability to develop innovative solutions to advanced engineering challenges.
- Strong understanding of the unique requirements and challenges associated with aerospace systems for space missions.
- Expertise in advanced ADCS design and integration techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation in ADCS design and implementation, contributing to the development of cutting-edge space technologies.
- Familiarity with space industry regulations, safety standards relevant to space missions and operations.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interface with the team and organization and prioritize tasks, projects, and personnel from a variety of disciplines.
- Experience with spacecraft flight operations.
- Hands-on experience building test setups for ADCS components.
