Computer Vision Engineer

About the Job

We are looking for a PhD graduate or PhD candidate in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or a related field to join our Research & Development team as a Computer Vision Engineer (R&D).

In this role, you will work on computer vision challenges such as image classification, object detection, segmentation, and document/image verification. You will design and develop deep learning models, conduct rigorous experiments, and translate the latest research into practical solutions that support our R&D initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, fine-tune, and evaluate computer vision models for image classification, object detection, image segmentation, and document/image verification tasks.
• Select and adapt state-of-the-art model architectures based on project requirements and real-world constraints.
• Plan, execute, and document reproducible machine learning experiments.
• Perform structured error analysis and continuously improve model performance.
• Build, manage, and maintain high-quality datasets, including annotation guidelines and data quality processes.
• Develop data augmentation, sampling, and domain adaptation strategies.
• Optimize models for deployment using ONNX, TensorRT, quantization, and pruning techniques.
• Monitor deployed models for performance degradation and model drift, and contribute to retraining strategies.
• Stay up to date with the latest research in computer vision and evaluate new approaches through proof-of-concept implementations.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for national and international R&D projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field.
• PhD graduate or PhD candidate in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
• Preferably 3+ years of experience in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, or AI-focused R&D projects.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch, OpenCV, and NumPy.
• Solid understanding of classical image processing techniques.
• Strong knowledge of deep learning architectures and model development.
• Experience with experiment tracking and reproducibility tools such as MLflow.
• Good software engineering practices, including Git, modular code, and testing.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with C++.
• CUDA programming and GPU optimization.
• Vision Transformers (ViT), self-supervised learning, and CLIP-style multimodal models.
• Diffusion and generative AI models.
• ONNX, TensorRT, model quantization, and pruning.
• Video understanding, object tracking, and action recognition.
• Active Learning and Human-in-the-Loop labeling strategies.
• Explainable AI techniques such as Grad-CAM, attention visualization, and model interpretability.
