Telecomm. Systems SW Engineer

Vega Networks is an exciting and dynamic organization that is shaping the future of broadband and wireless network connectivity. We are seeking an engineer with strong knowledge of Wi‑Fi technologies and good software development skills. Our team is responsible for developing a cutting-edge software suite used for monitoring, diagnosing, and optimizing Wi‑Fi networks. You will participate in regular online meetings with our international team and should be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

Education:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in EE or related field

Desired Experience and Qualifications include all or some of:

• Master of science in Telecommunication or related fields
• Minimum 5 years of overall professional experience is required
• Hands-on experience in object-oriented software development (e.g., Java, C#, or C++) is required
• Knowledge of Wi-Fi technologies is desirable
• Strong analytical skills, capable of investigating and troubleshooting issues based on data
• Experience in algorithm analysis
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools (e.g. codex, Claude Code) is desirable.
• Familiarity with Linux (as user) as well as programming in scripting languages like Python.
• Familiarity with SQL
• Familiarity with MongoDB
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as git
• Familiarity with Machine Learning concepts

Additional Desired Skills or Ability to Learn:

• Background in communications, such as an EE or EECS major is preferred
• Experience in data mining, statistical inference, or deep learning techniques is preferred
• Proficiency in SQL scripting for data manipulation is preferred
• Hands-on experience with machine learning packages is preferred
